Aruba's Acquisition of AirWave Wireless, Inc.

I'm delighted to announce that Aruba has recently signed a Definitive Agreement to acquire Airwave Wireless, expected to close by calendar Q2 2008.

Network management is the glue that binds together any network, wired or wireless. As networks grow in scope and as new technologies such as 802.11n are phased in, a standards-based, multi-vendor management solution is fast becoming an essential business tool. The AirWave acquisition enables Aruba to deliver best-in-class single- and multi-vendor management solutions today, while laying the groundwork for interoperable network management innovations in the days ahead.

We believe the mobile work force is inherently multi-vendor, and Airwave's best-in-class management solutions establish a new benchmark in ease of use, breadth of capabilities, and vendor neutrality.

It is our intention to operate AirWave as a business unit of Aruba, and the entire core AirWave team is joining us as Aruba employees so that we may continue enhancing and supporting AirWave's software applications without interruption.
